Notes
- Which type of potato is best for potato salad? Yukon Gold or red potatoes hold their shape and provide a creamy texture without turning mushy.
- What not to do when making potato salad? Don’t overcook the potatoes, and don’t add dressing while they’re hot—it can make the salad watery.
- How do you doctor up store-bought potato salad? Mix in chopped eggs, pickles, mustard, or a spoonful of extra mayo to give it a homemade touch.
- This salad tastes even better the next day, so making it ahead is a great idea!
